FAQ

  • What do I need to bring to boot camp?

You will need to bring your own mat, water, and weights to participate effectively in the boot camp. Start with 5-8 pound dumbbells, but anticipate needing to increase to 10-12-15 pounds as you progress. Some boot campers choose to upgrade to a wagon to carry multiple weights for varied workouts.

The primary focus will be on learning to lift weights with proper form. It’s essential to build a strong foundation to avoid injury and maximize your gains. As you become more comfortable and confident, the goal is to lift heavier weights. This progressive approach will help you build muscle, increase bone density, and boost your metabolism over time. Embrace the challenge and prepare to evolve in your strength-training journey.

  • Is everyone already fit at boot camp? Will I feel behind?

At boot camp, we welcome walkers, joggers, and runners alike. Each participant is on their own unique health and fitness journey, emphasizing that this endeavor is never truly a destination. The environment is designed to be encouraging, fostering a sense of community where everyone is committed to valuing their health. Here, you will find support and camaraderie among others who share similar goals and aspirations. Every step taken, no matter the pace, contributes to personal growth and well-being. Together, we create a motivating atmosphere that inspires continuous progress and dedication to a healthier lifestyle.

  • Do I need to purchase supplements to reach my health and fitness goals?

The short answer is no. Whole food nutrition is where I start all my clients. Food is medicine. When it comes to supplementation, I recommend starting with a good protein supplement to help you reach your protein goals. I personally prefer FASTer Way protein and Shaklee protein.

After establishing your protein intake, I suggest adding a multivitamin, omega-3s, probiotics, Vitamin B, and Vitamin D. I have been using Shaklee vitamins for 15 years and have found them very safe and effective.
